Raw Shea Butter – Unscented
Raw Unrefined Shea Butter
If your skin drinks up moisturiser and still feels tight an hour later, the problem usually isn't hydration. It's what you're using.
Our raw shea butter is unrefined and sourced directly from West Africa, where shea has been used for generations to treat dry skin, eczema, and stretch marks. Not because it's trendy. Because it works. Rich in vitamins A and E, essential fatty acids, and natural anti-inflammatory compounds, this is shea butter in its most potent form. Nothing added. Nothing removed.
What it does:
• Seals in moisture for skin that stays soft for hours
• Soothes eczema-prone, sensitive, and reactive skin without irritation
• Conditions dry, brittle hair, tames frizz, and works as a deep scalp treatment
• Softens stretch marks and rough, dry patches over time
• Works as a base for DIY body butters, balms, and skincare formulations
Whether you use it as a daily body moisturiser, an overnight face treatment, a hair butter for natural curls, or a belly butter during pregnancy, a little goes a long way.
Our 1kg size comes in a sturdy, reusable black plastic tub.
Our shea butter is sourced directly from West Africa — the natural home of the shea tree and where shea has been harvested and used in skincare for generations.
Unrefined means it goes through minimal processing after harvest, preserving its natural colour, texture, scent, and nutritional profile. What you receive is as close to the source as possible.
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is available upon request.
On skin:
Warm a small amount between your palms until it melts, then apply directly to dry areas. Best used after a shower while skin is still slightly damp to lock in moisture
On hair:
Work a small amount through dry or damp hair, focusing on the ends and any dry sections. Can also be used as a scalp treatment — massage in, leave for 30 minutes, then wash out.
As a DIY base:
Melt gently using a double boiler and combine with your choice of oils or butters to create your own body butter or skincare formulation.
A little goes a long way — start with a small amount and build up as needed.
Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter
100% pure unrefined shea butter. Nothing added. Nothing removed.
Many people with eczema find raw shea butter helpful because it creates a protective barrier that locks in moisture and helps prevent water loss. Its natural anti-inflammatory compounds can calm irritation and reduce redness. Because our shea butter is unscented and free from additives, it is one of the gentlest options for eczema-prone skin. Always patch test first if you have highly reactive skin.
Yes. Because it is thick, a small amount is best. It works well as an overnight treatment for very dry facial skin. Warm a tiny amount between your fingertips and press into dry areas. If you have acne-prone skin, patch test first as shea butter is rich and may not suit all face skin types.
Shea butter is rich in vitamins A and E, which support skin elasticity and cell regeneration. Many customers use it during and after pregnancy to help soften the appearance of stretch marks. For best results, apply consistently to the area after bathing while skin is still damp.
Yes. Unscented raw shea butter is widely used on babies and young children for dry patches, cradle cap, and nappy rash. Because it is free from fragrance and additives, it is a safe and gentle option for
delicate skin
It works well as a deep conditioner, particularly for dry, textured, or 4c hair types. Apply a small amount to damp or dry hair, focusing on the ends. It helps seal in moisture, reduce breakage, and tame frizz. You can also use it as a scalp treatment by massaging a small amount in, leaving for 30 minutes, and washing out.
Raw unrefined shea butter is a
natural product, so slight variations in colour, texture, and scent are
completely normal between harvests. This is a sign it is the real thing. Over-processed shea butter is stripped of these natural characteristics along with its beneficial properties.
Raw, unrefined shea butter retains its full nutritional profile including vitamins A, E and F, essential fatty acids, and
anti-inflammatory compounds. Refined shea butter has been processed with heat or chemicals to remove the natural colour and scent. While refined shea butter is smoother and easier to blend into commercial products, it loses much of what makes shea butter effective in the first place
